Mr. Schmitt’s expertise lies in Marketing, Tourism and Education with a focus on China.

When he took the position as PR- and Project Manager for Caissa Tourism Group in Hamburg, he was responsible for inbound tourist market from China and new touristic products development. Afterwards he was employed by China Education & Training Center in Hamburg. There he was in charge of conception development and implementation of advanced training program for Chinese manager in Europe.

Since 2005, Mr. Schmitt moves to Shanghai and works as Tourism Development Manager for Liaison office of Hamburg City in Shanghai organized by German Chamber of Commerce. His function includes marketing and branding new travel spots, developing and promoting touristic products, as well as the organization and execution of business seminars for Chinese. He has a good relationship with Chinese governors and has successfully organized Hamburg pavilion of Shanghai Expo 2010.
